Piece It Together is St. Louis Bar & Grill’s corporate responsibility that focuses on building autism awareness and raising money towards schools for autistic children across Canada. During my time working on this cause, I learned about the hardships and difficulties that children with autism and their families have to overcome. Here is my contribution to a great cause.

Autism Awareness Day
Autism awareness day is a campaign that we run every year to bring attention to autism awareness. With any donation over $2, customers have the option to sign a puzzle piece and display it on a wall in the restaurant. The eventual “puzzle wall” acts as an additional marketing piece which sparks conversation within the restaurant.

Autism Awareness Month Campaign
In addition to the shorter campaign in April, the month of October is autism awareness month at St. Louis. Customers would receive a coupon card and 50 cents from certain beers were donated to the cause. For this year’s iteration, we leaned on a stats based approach. Combined with a photo of a child holding a puzzle piece, it certainly left an impact as we hit our highest donation amount of $400,000 that year. This campaign leads up to St. Louis’ annual autism event where there are live auctions, game activations and a grand reveal of the total donation amount accumulated throughout the year.
